blower or turbo?

 

 

 

 

Picked up a certain 86 Fox body that had a Powerdyne on it and yanking that off as we speak. I have a very nice set of Kooks custom headers and X pipe for the car and was planning on going blower again but while looking at the motor torn down this far I am debating going the turdblow route.

 

 

 

Discuss what you would do in this situation, limited to 10 pounds and no nitrous either :)

10lbs on a 96mm would be a whole lot of fun

 

 

I am sure a stock bottem end would enjoy that

Why are you removing the Powerdyne?

its not what I want, once I add a good set of heads and a different cam the boost would fall off mid RPM

turbo or procharger....

 

but the power dyne was still making boost hitting the limiter at 5500...

 

Why hit limiter with a lacking fuel pump? The Powerdyne is fine for now but like I said before, a good set of heads and a better cam that thing will fall off mid range possibly. If it doesnt then its not a bad idea to keep it but I would feel safer with an impellar upgrade and I dont feel like spending 500 on a blower that I only wanna run 10 psi on.
