I had a MR2 SC back then, which then recieved a turbo engine swap. After that owned an NSX (sold now). Quite possible, I've been there a couple times, once on the 600rr, once on the F3. That's odd, one of the last times I was there, the fire department was out there putting out a car fire. The detective was asking if we had seen anyone in the area.
