Maro
Looking to have a 2007 WRX flywheel resurfaced. Anybody have a recommendation for a good machine shop that can do this work?

Dave1647545494
before you pull it off check it with a metal straightedge and a feeler gauge if its flat scuff it up with a rolloc disk and put it back together
Maro
I don't have the flywheel yet... as I just got this one from a guy in IL for a flywheel/clutch swap in my '05 LGT. I'm ditching the dual mass setup in favor of a solid flywheel kit. I have a brand new ACT clutch, pressure plate, TO bearing, and pilot bearing... and wanted to run an OEM single mass flywheel. It appears that it is a stepped design. Would you agree? http://s1001.photobucket.com/albums/af135/Pappas188/Flywheel/ Edited January 21, 2010 by Maro
Dave1647545494
it looks stepped in the picture it also looks wasted don't pay too much for it
Maro
I offered the guy $50. A new one is $310. You don't think a resurface would clean it up? Thanks for the input, BTW.

35RFTW
WRX flywheel is flat for anyone that is curious. NAPA FTW $30 and 1 hour.
Maro
Should I be concerned with having to have the Flywheel rebalanced after it's cut? I'm getting some people on the Subaru board saying that I should just buy a new FW and not bother resurfacing it....
Dave1647545494
no but it may need shimmed if whover cuts needs to take a bunch off
