biggest bitch i have with mud flaps, is when people drill holes in the body with out doing something to the bare metal they exposed. yes your keeping rocks and all kinds of other crap off the fenders, but what about the rust that just got started on the bare metal left behind after drilling holes for them.

please treat you're exposed metal properly

Good point. I had to cut a very small portion of the front fender off to clearance my 20"s in the front, as they rubbed when I turned the wheel. I immediately sanded the edges and painted them with rust-inhibitive primer and oil-based enamel. No problems since 2007.

I will do the same for the holes drilled for mudflap hardware.

Alright, the flaps came! I'm impressed by how BIG they are. They also have a nice "diamond-plate" pattern on them, which matches the rear bumper. They are also a two-piece design, but since they were designed for a 94-01 Dodge Ram (hey...they were $9.88 a pair, remember?) I'll just ditch the molded body piece and mount the flaps right up.

Check em out! I think they look great and for the tire size (and size of my truck), they are perfect.

Here's a really wierd question.....they are a thick, ABS-style plastic instead of rubber and are paintable...what if I painted them white to match the two-tone paint job of my truck?
