The Dell Studio Line is really nice. I don't believe it can be overclocked and not sure I would on laptop since they are usually heat sensitive any way. What type of editing software are you refering to? This will run any word processing app without issue. A 2.0 GHZ Dual Core with 3GB RAM are decent specs for pretty much any business application. Let me know if you would like to check out.

I run Sony Vegas 9 Professional video editing software. I need 2.53ghz minimum. I was going to purchase my laptop this week that could run the software I was just seeing if this would be a cheaper and more convenient option. Thanks for answering my question quickly, though.
