Changing Timing Belt - 2004 Toyota Sienna

guess i have not. as i have taught myself everything i know about cars/motors, i have only had a limited number of vehicles to "train" myself on. thank you for your insight.

 

in my experience, my 06 saturn with the 2.0 ecotec DOHC I4 has a chain located on the inside of the block. my friends 92 4g63 galant has a timing belt located on the outside of the engine. so yes, my chain setup is quieter, much quieter

belts make noise, when they are too tight.

 

and you wrong on your ion, there's 2 chains. and its behind a timing cover, just like your belt in the van is

I know there is 2 chains. one for the cam gears and one for the balance shaft/water pump. i was referring to the timing chain only
