Hi I'm new on here. Im from the west side of columbus. I've heard about you guys from a few people at the polaris meets. Thought I would finaly join up and see what columbus racing was all about. Current mods on my 2000 Mitsubishi Eclipse nothing special really. Injen wai < was once a cai. Rpw long tube headers, B&M short shifter, Rezlo aluminum billet underdrive pulley, knight rider 3rd brake light. Currently have a 16g turbo saving up money to build the 6g72 block to withstand boost.

Couple of old pics. Reason why the front end looks like it does now. Soon a paint job. These were from when I bought the car from a guy in texas who was in a hit and run. After I got the car trailored to Detroit.

May I suggest just buying a VR4. Could probably get one for the same amount as you sell the eclipse for, and already you will have AWD, 2 turbos and an engine that will withstand a metric shit ton of boost. Now throw a couple of 16g's on there and hang on for dear life.

OR

just swap a 6g72tt in the eclipse and let the FWD lulz begin.

Funny you should mention that. Ive already been thinking about the 6G72tt vr4 swap. There was some one on another forum who made his 3rd gen Eclipse awd.

Sorry guys I just realized I missed a few things. Been busy working extra hours at work trying to get my 3rd Gen Eclipse back on the Road. Long story short you get what you pay for. Had a guy install my clutch , passenger side axle and motor mounts for $300.00 and now my tranny is f'd up. So I'm taking it to Nate at performance theory soon as I can raise up $1,380. But any how my name is Jevon AKA Kai I'm 24. My Eclipse is louder than it is fast at the moment. I just got done swapping my friend radiators. Some how 6months ago when I ordered 1 for a manual I was sent one for a automatic. I do have big dreams to upgrade the go fast parts as well as maybe down the road finish out the bodykit. Any comments on how I should go about building this car up, I need any help in the right direction I can get. I dont want to sell or trade it. I kind of gotten use to driving this rice bowl of a snail :)

3 easy steps.

1.Paint the car ONE color (that includes the hood).

2.Lose any sort of aftermarket body work.

3.Resort to the the vr twin turbo setup fwd or awd (if your budget allows)

Can you post some more pics? You posted every angle but the front end.

Yes I will when I get up. honestly all those pics are old. Still looks the same only difference is I put the front lip back on. I have to do the radiator tommarrow so I will take the digital cam and a piece of paper with the date and post up all new pics tommarow. If any one was in polaris last year I was at a few meets up there. I use to ride along with 2 preludes , Integra, and a bmw.

You know what else would be cool is if you drop a 6g74 (Montero 3.5L) in there.

Will have to do some more research. But I'm also a member on another forum that deals with 3rd gen eclipses. So I will see if any has done that swap b4. Kinda thinking about doing a swap wit awd possibilities.
