I'm just now getting into cars and am trying to learn as much possible. Right now there isn't much of a racing scene in dayton, so columbus and middletown are about the closest cities that do anyting. I drive a 03 civic right now. It's a sleeper that never wakes up. The manual says it makes 115 hp, 110 lb-ft. I havn't dynoed it but I'm sure its a lot less. I had to replace the engine this summer after putting a connecting rod through the engine block. I post some pics of that up. Some info about myself, my other hobby is shooting competitively in USPSA. Also right now I'm just waiting till august to enlist in the army. I'm hoping to go in as 11x option 40. Posting pics of your ride is the norm, it will get you positive rep faster. But the bottom line is that you're interested in cars, willing to learn, and want to start attending meets. Cars & Coffee will be a great opportunity to meet some of CR, see some great cars, and learn more. I've been in now 3 years, made my E-5 right before the three year mark. Why do you want to go Infantry? What was your ASVAB? I'm just letting you know before that it fucking sucks. You will do some stupid shit and go some shitty places. I'm with 4th Brigade 10th Mountain 2/30 Infantry out of Fort Polk, LA. I did OSUT at Fort Benning, GA where if you do truly think your 11x material is where you will go. I hope you are skinny and can run for days, otherwise say good bye to the "40 Option". They make it sound all sweet when your signing the contract cause the base your bonus on that, but when you fail out which 90% of people do because Ranger Bat is already STUFFED full of 11x's you lose your bonus attached to the "40 option" ask me how I know this? If I were you and you truly wanted to be a "Ranger" pick a skilled MOS and get some experience being in the Army before jumping right in to RIP. I have decided going Ranger Bat just isn't for me and have thought of doing Selection. But you will learn young one. Just pray I don't decide to join the trail and become a Drill. Welcome to CR.
