LS_Sonoma
Finally decided to get serious and start a build thread. Ive got a 99 GMC Sonoma that Im swapping in a LS6 block with 853 heads and a 4L60E. Here's the engine ready to go in after the heads were rebuilt, thanks to BlackMess for the good deal on the injectors... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v351/SilentSoldier/Sonoma/closeup.jpg Notch Master 3000 doing its thing. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v351/SilentSoldier/Sonoma/IMG_0311.jpg Edited April 6, 2010 by LS_Sonoma
LS_Sonoma
I used a LS2 Corvette oil pan and some common mounts with urethane bushings throughout. Notch was over kill. I'll be filling it in considerably and Ive got something up my sleeve for changing the oil. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v351/SilentSoldier/Sonoma/IMG_0316.jpg All in for mock up. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v351/SilentSoldier/Sonoma/IMG_0318.jpg
LS_Sonoma
The front cap is on now and the fuel system, wiring and cooling will get finished this fall after I collect the parts this summer. I am using LS2 Corvette accessories for clearance issues as well.

LS_Sonoma
Typically ranges from 3K to 15K...depending how resourcefull and your goal. I will have about 7K in mine including the truck.

LS_Sonoma
All this talk about boost lately on this forum has me thinking. What do I need to know? What do I need? Seems with this LS S10 swap people have a hell of a time getting headers. Maybe I should just go FI to make it easier.

FyrhzrdGT
Looking good, I knew a guy who had an LS2 Sonoma and it was damn fast. Good luck with the rest of the build.
LS_Sonoma
The guy who owns Current Performance Wire in Florida is building my long tubes and wiring harness...well he started having an irregular heart beat. Guess my parts wont be here till sometime closer to October. I'll just have to do cooling and fuel system in the mean time and post pone exhaust and wiring till later in the winter.
