Trouble Maker
It really is amazing how much tire tech has changed. Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's FTMFW!
AJ
i'm going to run the BFG KDW's on my car, they are haly the price and are still a good tire. ashley has them on the V.
Trouble Maker
I've heard really good things in general about those (BFG KDW). The KDW2 has a pretty sweet looking tread pattern on it. I think Orion had those on his WRX and really liked them. http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/bfg/bfg_gforceta_kdw2_ci1_l.jpg I was simply commenting on the tire in the picture, which I think is the Pilot Sport right? They are one of the more expensive tires you can buy IIRC. I bet they cost what $400/each in 335's? http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/michelin/mi_pilotsport_ps2_ci1_l.jpg The KDWS has an interesting tread pattern on it, the wiggly part. http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/bfg/bfg_gforceta_kdws_ci1_l.jpg So why do an all season on this car? Assuming you are talking about Camaro... and it won't be driven in the winter. And unless Tire Rack doesn't have all of the sizes, they don't make the KDWS in 335's. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=g-Force+T/A+KDWS Edited April 25, 2010 by Trouble Maker

Avenger1647545502
What is amazing is that some guys managed to get the same performance out of those skinny little things back in the day as the same car will deliver on modern tires! hpfiend
nice uprade... fwiw BFG KDWS's are some of the noisiest tires I have ever heard but they do perform well. They were on my 5.0 mustang which had decently loud exhaust so it didn't matter but I put them on my wife's rsx-s and they howl like a wolf below 50 mph. I did take my KDW2s all the way down to the cords on the M3, but damn were they loud during the 2nd half of their lives. Just so you know. AJ
looks like i can't get the KDW2's in a 335 anymore so i'll have to find something else.

Like all tires, they are a compromise. They are loud, and I mean semi truck tire loud, but they are about the only AA traction tire out there with a 300+ treadwear rating. Based off of that, as you probably assumed, they are not quite as sticky as a PS2, but given the amount of driving I do, I like them. They are the only summer tire I can get more than 1 summer out of. If you can tolerate the noise Pretty good in rain, but not found of 50 degree rainy days like most summer attire. I'm thinking of the Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's next. They caught my eye on a couple forum discussions, but can't be acquired through alot of vendors. They remind me of the Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3's that I used to have, those were honestly some great driving/performance/rain tires but they had a known "defect" with balance issues like most goodyears. AJ
i think you guys forget that i won't be able to hear the tires due to other "tones" the car will make.
