AHHHH!

89 Notchback 2.3 to 5.0 Carb swap

Ive been building this car for a few months now and this is the last thing I need to do to it.

My tranny wont shift out of first gear.

I bought and installed the Lokar detent/kickdown cable today and set it.

Noticed my speedo is not working. What about the VSS? Could that be the issue? Will I have to rewire it since my ECU is gone?

I need this car running by tonight so I can get to work tomorrow. I'll be at my shop all night. if anyone can stop by and help out that would be fantastic!....cough....cough... Rob :)

here is my # 614 795-8541 if you want to help or got any ideas

Thanks

if it a aod or aode? the e has to have a pcm to drive it... the normal aod needs a cable.. do you have enough fluid in it? or is it just a junk trans?

the tranny is good. Checked the fluid twice today. I was told it was an AOD.

you still at the shop?

this is what could be the issue!

  1. Improper fluid level.
  2. Incorrectly adjusted, disconnected, damaged, or sticking throttle linkage.
  3. Throttle return spring disconnected.
  4. Damaged or incorrectly adjusted manual linkage.
  5. Sticking governor.
  6. Main control pressure too high.
  7. Valve body bolts improperly torqued.
  8. Valve body dirty or valves sticking.
