350 swap, need some info.

i picked up a gen 1 350 off a friend that im going to be attempting to put in the bird. It will be carbed, so no computers. What all will be involved in this swap? Will my V6 front k member work or will i need to find one from an LT1 car? What will i need to do to get the distibuter to fit, if anything?

Should simply be a matter of LT1 motor mounts, and frame stands. Depends on what style distributor you use. You might have issues with a big cap HEI or a big cap MSD.

Go on LS1 Tech and there is a TON of good info and build pics. I think SPHON makes a k-member that will do what you need.

wagner, im tryin to do this on the cheap lol im gonna try to get a stock style one to work first lol. Chad, i was going to, but i picked this motor and a turbo 400 trans up for 250 bucks. The motor just needs heads and intake, but ran low 12's in my dads buddies car.

BMR & UMI also make a K-member. A lot of guys just use the LT1 k-member and a motor plate setup. Obviously, the tubular k-member saves weight though.

ive seen some with the engine setback the cars have stock. that with a dominator had to mount it sideways.

and a small msd dist.

only a very small dist will fit and you may even need to beat on the firewall for that
