Littleguy
So, I went out last night to a car meet, it was the first time I had driven the 240 at night and used the lights. When I got back home I noticed that my brake lights were stuck on. I thought it might be the brakes stuck, so I pumped them a few times and that didn't help at all. I didn't want the battery to die so I disconnected it and when I connected it back this morning they were still on. Has anybody else had a similar issue before? Any ideas on what it could be? Littleguy
Well, I just looked at it with some daylight and I immediately noticed a broken piece of plastic on the ground by the brake pedal. I'm guessing it is a broken brake switch.
Guest tbutera2112
that would do it...the little plunger broke off my brake light switch on the bike and my brake lights were on constantly as well
Littleguy
That's what broke off on mine. Is it the brake light switch? How hard is it to replace?

V8 Beast
You're brake light switch under the dash has two nuts on it you lossing one up and then the other, then there is a connector that needs to come off, after that replace it wit the new one and set the lentgth to where you want it cause the nuts set the switch at the possition to where you want the brake pedal to be when the lights go off... .. Littleguy
I just looked at the car and that little plastic rivet is exactly what broke. I'll be trying the nut and bolt fix in the morning.
