New wheels on my Camaro

Recommended Posts

I got bored with my rims and decided to switch it up. I ended up trading wheels with a guy in Dayton.

Old wheels, gunmetal Z06 Motorsports, 18x9.5" all around, with 285/30 rubber band tires...

New wheels, chrome ZR1's, 17x9.5" front and 17x11" rear...

The pics suck but you get the idea, and it looks a lot better in person. I want to stick some 315's out back, and before anyone says it, YES it needs lowered badly lol. 4x4 stance, yeah I'm well aware. Seems like everyone liked my old wheels better, but I prefer the new ones. I never really cared for the rivets on the Z06 rims.

Let me know what you think! I'll try and get better pics tomorrow

This is a rendering I did on my super computer with state of the art software that depicts what it should look like, upon lowering an acceptable amount to my standards:

I think it looks good man! Keep it up post pics after you lower it!

Thanks man, I can't justify spending any money on my cars right now, too many other bills/priorities but it will definitely get done at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later!

I like the new ones since you get some meat out back...granted someday maybe they could use a wider tire.

lower it

Yeah I definitely want 315's, I'll need to take a BFH to the bumpstops and inner fenders to make them fit without rubbing, and once I lower it I'm assuming I'll need to roll the fenders. All in good time

Your new wheels are my favorite "stock" wheel for Camaros. Liked the old ones too, but digging the change.

Thanks, they have always been my favorite stock-style wheel too. Very simple/clean looking

really??? dont pick on him lol

steve-Now I have got a kit sitting in the garage for that lil z that will make this a interesting race

Haha I told him I'd race him, I don't expect to win and I won't care if I lose. I'm well aware that his car is faster, it's all good.

And what type of kit, nitrous? Is it free? I am broke lol :(
