dover
Looking to buy an 01-04 Denali been doing some research and reading the consumer reports. Wanted to know if anyone had first hand experience with them. Not to worried about the gas mileage I don't drive far weekly, just need something big and comfy to put my shit in and tow my bike and car (clearly not at the same time). Thanks guys and girls. ICEMAN1647545504
I have an 03 Suburban and I like it a lot. Very comfy heated seats rides smooth and tows very nice. 130k miles and no major problems what so ever.
dover
What all have you had minor problem wise?
AJ
minor problem wise would be intake gaskets on high mile trucks. transmissions are weak in them so try to find one that someone hasn't towed a ton with. other than that they are very good trucks. ICEMAN1647545504
What all have you had minor problem wise? The relay went out for the ABS, I had a solenoid go out in the trans, bushings in the front end, eats breaks kinda quick (it's a heavy truck) and that's about it. The trans is a weak point for these trucks because a lot of people don't use the tow mode and puts additional stress on the trans.

FST94TSI
I've got a Hemi Durango fully loaded and for the money it simply can't be beat. I believe it will tow with the Tahoes or whatever all day and probably tow more plus for an SUV it really hauls ass too when you want to. You can get a fully loaded one for about half the price of a Denali with all the same features. Im only speaking of the newer body style Durangos' though. The older body Durangos' were pure junk. Im sure i'll get blasted for speaking up but it's just my opinion.
Tshensley
The biggest concern I've seen with them in our shop has been the ones with the air ride. Avoid these particular models, as we replaced level sensors, rewired harnesses and they all still seem to have problems linger no matter what repairs. Cordell
get out of the house more. 4L60E, google it. No shit, I can't keep them in my f-body. Now put that in a heavy truck, modded or not it won't take any abuse.
KennyFKINPowerz
I have an 00 Yukon XL with 180k on it. Rob had the transfer case rebuilt back in Dec for me and I put intake gaskets on it about a year and ahalf ago. Outside of that it runs like a top and has been great. nurkvinny
There are 2 01's in my family. One has had a tranny sensor go out and one had the multi-switch in the column go out. They have no plans of replacing either truck any time soon; they love them.
dover
Awesome thanks for all the insight they sound like a stout truck that will last a while, granted I will probably sell it before long I don't keep things long.
Crossle
Another little thing are the wheel speed sensors that they have had numerous TSB's on. Otherwise my boss has a '03 Yukon that he usues to tow his toys and has had 0 issues trans wise and motor wise. He also is very religious on maintenance. BradyPPC
Dont forget about the steering wheel "clunk" from the intermediate steering shaft. Makes driving one annoying. Overall, nice vehicles though.
dover
Thanks Brady! I am coming to you for some wheels for it after all the cars I've seen come out of PPC!
