The stock sub is a 6.5" but people say you can mod the box to fit an 8" sub in it. I don't have room for a box in my trunk and so I want to use the factory setup if possible as it hangs from the rear tray inside the trunk. Bam Posted July 31, 2010 Author Report Share Posted July 31, 2010 Well this is what I'm finding on the car forums.... Stock box is a sealed deal, and is .46 cubic feet. Stock amp is 75wRMS @ 6 ohms. They say in theory it will put out about 95-100wRMS @ 4 ohms, but I have no idea what this means. The power wire going to it is 12 gauge, and so they recommend replacing it. That help any?
