Wease
Not sure if anyone has advice, but my friend in Hawaii is considering buying a boat and I know nothing about boats that need to be ready for ocean duty, if there is truly any difference. I also have no idea how big the boat should be, given the fact that the water in Hawaii can be kinda rough. Any websites I can send him or general advice? wnaplay1647545503
Like any boat, it really depends on what the boat will be used for. Is he looking to island hop or go cross ocean?

John Bruh
Ive wondered about this too. I always wanted a live-aboard in Hawaii. its actually expensive to live on a big boat (well depending on where you dock it and what they charge per ft). Bahnstoermer1647545488
I would certainly be up-ing a lot of shit on my boat before taking it out. Replacing some hull fittings with stainless steel or brass, radio, navigation, life raft, survival shit, etc. The "oops" factor is simply life and death on the ocean if you ask me. But your friend probably needs a lot more specific information than that I know nothing about ocean going boats.
