I bought a new set of stock spark plug wires from O'Reilly's, and Rick came over in his Impala tonight. We routed the spark plug wires after yanking all of the DelTeq stuff out first. Then, we took the coil/ICM pack from his 141k+ mile Impala SS and connected it. The 'Vette fired right up, and ran great. We drove for 5 minutes...10 minutes...no CEL, no ignition problems...floored it a bit, ran great... I'm not 100% sure yet, only because I lived with the problem for so long. However, I am fairly certain going back to stock ignition setup will fix the problem. Something is wrong with the DelTeq system.
