The Ducati North America team in Cupertino, CA is searching for an exceptional Information Systems Desktop Support Technician. Desktop Support Technician

Job Function:

As a Desktop Support Technician, you will provide Level 1 and 2 technical and problem-solving support to all clients assigned to Ducati North America, both local and remote.

Responsibilities:

* Support desktop hardware, laptops, printers, operating systems, PDAs and end-user software applications

* Coordinate and install end-user hardware/software

* Maintain and support company cell phone plan

* Responsible for IT purchasing and software licensing

* Create, modify, and delete user LAN accounts and access control lists

* Create and document HelpStar Incidents and Service Requests, as well as respond to help desk calls and/or HelpStar cases

* Maintain and audit equipment inventory

* Monitor and maintain the backup of all data storage devices

* Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

* Minimum: High School Graduate / Preferred: BS in Computer Science, IS, or equivalent experience

* Minimum 1 to 5 years fully functioning, professional experience in end user computing support and PC based applications

* Working knowledge with Windows 2000, Windows XP, POP3, Exchange 2003, VOIP, Oracle, HelpStar, Microsoft Office Suite of products, and Backup Exec, Unix or Linux, all on Dell Systems

* Experience with all aspects of PCs, PDAs and networked printer support is necessary

* Ability to work within a very fast paced and aggressive team

* This position will require good analytical and problem solving skills with the flexibility and self-discipline to work both solo and in a team environment Oracle account creation experience preferred

* Certifications such as Microsoft’s MCP, MCSE, A+, and experience with PDAs and BlackBerrys a plus

* Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis

* Must be available for on-call 24/7 support

It doesn't say how many users need to be supported. That could be a terrible job if the number of users is high.

edit: Besides that, they want so many items in experience, I'd ask for 3 or 4 times normal pay. And normal pay in Cali is at least twice what it is here. Been there, done that...
