Question: What is causing this? I have been using Napa fuel pumps? I heard that all non stock fuel pumps are junk. I replaced the entire pump assembly this last change out. Crossle Posted August 30, 2010 Report Share Posted August 30, 2010 Do NOT use napa fuel pumps. We are a Napa repair center and deal with their parts all day. On GM fuel pumps the ONLY option worth considering is the dealership. Do yourself a favor and buy a good pump. They were junk from the factory, so it's going to be worse aftermarket. Some of Napa's lines is actually the same parts from the dealership like their altrom line. This does not apply to the GM fuel pumps, we have also had issues with their front wheel bearings used on GM sedans and only buy from the dealership. Good luck.
