LS6 Intake

I just saw a LS6 intake on LS1tech for sale for $300. Guy says it has about 15,000 miles on it.

What is it that I need to ask the seller to see if it will work on my car? I remember there being something about the underside of the intake, but can't remember what that is.

the underside of a LS6 intake is flat and the LS1 has slight curves, thus the reasoning for the different head steam crossover pipe. This assembly is usually around $40 itself.

Hope this helps.

This is why you want pics of the bottom. A lack of an EGR doesn't mean it's an LS6, early C5 Vettes had an LS1 intake with no EGR. No LS6 intakes came from the factory with EGR, but LS1 intakes came either way.

The steam pipes are easy to mod, and all you really need is the block-offs for the back of the heads.

The LS6 intake will bolt directly to any set of cathedral port heads.
