Where: dispose of medical needles, medicine

When I was first out of surgery I was given shots to inject myself with medicine in my stomach for the thinning of blood. The medicine is lovenox and each syringe is filled and sealed. I dont need them anymore, but how do I dispose of the extras?

you should be able to drop them off at any dr's office or maybe even any pharmacy

i had the same thing when i broke my leg. i just shot them all in the sink and threw them away.

you can shoot the lovenox down the drain and dispose of your used needles in the sharps box that came with your lovenox pack. you can drop the sharps box off at any physicians office, fire department or hospital. If you don't have a sharps box just take the levonox pack to your md s office. They can dispose of it properly Edited September 7, 2010 by Sturg

If you don't have a sharps box just stop at a pharmacy and pick up a personal sharps container.
