zeitgeist57
I saw a HUGE Dodge Ram in Pickerington last week...I mean this thing was monster-truck tall. Definitely a show truck. I noticed how shiny the leaf springs and axles were. The texture seemed slightly "hammered" and I thought (especially the leaf springs) that they couldn't have been powdercoated... I've looked at tractor paint in the past for my truck, but are there any good high-gloss black chassis paints that can be applied with a spray gun or even a brush? TA In Progress
POR 15 works well, too. I've used it many times with good results. In fact, I just finished a truck frame with it last week. I'll get some pics before I put the body on. AJ
i don't like por 15. mainly because it only sticks to surfaces with slight surface rust. if you have sand blasted metal or brand new metal it will peel off in sheets. i tried it before with those results. i do like epoxy paints though. and eastwood's chassis paint. wnaplay1647545503
I will try to find the ad I picked up for the place that was at the springfield swap meet this year. They had some nice paints for sale.

True, you do have to create a rough surface if you have new or smooth metal. They're pretty clear about that on their website and on the can of paint, though.
