Gergwheel1647545492
Would you buy one with 100k miles? I am loving the Rawlings interior that some of them have. Thinking about this as a daily driver.
Rotarded1647545491
Year? 1.8T? Quattro? Hard Top? I loved my Audi, but I'd never own one again with over 100K. 1.8T have sludge issues.
Gergwheel1647545492
2001 quattro with a soft top. i think its probably the 1.8T
Sparky
Convertible sounds lame. Baseball interior transplanted to a coupe would be hot though. is this a 225 or 180 version?
Not Brian
for <$7k maybe
AWW$HEEET
ive thought about a quattro 225 version but im not sure how well the haldex would hold up after i upgraded the turbo. i cant find shit about it online either.
Gergwheel1647545492
it says its a 225 version. they are asking 9500 for it.
Sparky
For the verts $9500 doesn't seem really that low. Look at craigslist and there are quite a few if you're not bothered by mileage.
CRed05
1.8T have sludge issues. For which a settlement has been reached last week. Audi/VW will pay 100% of the repair costs if you can prove that the last 2 oil changes were done at the recommended interval.

Mr. Jones
1.8T sludge problems are only a result of poor maintenance compounded by tiny passages. If you can find one with a healthy documented oil changes, I wouldn't have an issue buying one. The AWD system will hold out find for basic upgrades, IE: k04/gt/ ect, yet to see one let go from something other than abuse/ lack of maintenance. For the most part they are fairly reliable cars, esp the V6 manual.
87GT
I would buy an audi but not the TT. Seems like a girl car to me. Must be every time I see a TT a chick is driving it.
TurboNova
they are just a beetle with awd. I would have no problem buying one with a 1.8. The pan is super easy to pull and clean it, put an oil pump pick up on it and run synthetic...good to go
zeitgeist57
Meh. Not a fan. For that price it better look nearly factory fresh inside and out, even with 100k miles and being a 2001... EDIT: So, would you describe the interior as having leather like a "catcher's" mitt? :gay: It is a TT.
Farkas
With 100k miles? no. By that point, even if they kept up on preventative engine maintenance, the rest of the car will need attention.. for example the control arm bushings, end links, etc.
oh8sti
Chick I knew at liberty highschool drove a silver one. She was hot.

My Passat has over 101k miles on it and the front suspension creaks and shifts. Plus, it doesn't hold an alignment worth crap.
RC K9
Year? 1.8T? Quattro? Hard Top? I loved my Audi, but I'd never own one again with over 100K. 1.8T have sludge issues. You guys are getting the front suspension issues of the b5 chassis confused, the Audi TT is a totally different car than an A4/Passat. That being said- I wouldn't have any issues with the 1.8t at 100k miles. Our passat we bought new and put 110k on it still ran like new when we traded it in. We never had sludge issues, nor did anyone else I knew who used synthetic oil.
