FormulaMatt
I am putting HID's in my fog lights on my 5 series. My questions is, what color should I go with? Should I try and match my stock Hella HID headlights, or would it look good switched to yellow? I have seen the way yellow looks on some cars and really like it. I just don't know if it will look good in mine. Any suggestions? My fogs are the older reflector style, not the projector style you see on many cars with the yellow fogs. This is my car. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/DSCN1262.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w211/Matt86K5/DSCN1266.jpg

FormulaMatt
yellow or have them match you headlights. It will definitely be one of the two. I am more asking if yellow will look good? If no, then I will match the headlights.
Nitrousbird
Yellow looks like shit. Match your headlights, which are hopefully around 5k

SpaceGhost
Um yellow light is what you need to see in fog/rain better, don't fucking "rice" it, make them functional.

gmann
Um yellow light is what you need to see in fog/rain better, don't fucking "rice" it, make them functional. For sure. I have yellow (3000 K) from VVME in my mkIII and they look nice, but actually WORK great in rain, snow, fog and of course dry (Even on new, black blacktop). I'm lowered a bit and VR6 oil pans sit below the subframe by a bit so I have to be on the look out for potholes. No problem with the yellow, I'm sure the matched you will have issues though. Yellow =/= rice. Yellow = functional.
FST94TSI
I had a few e39 five series over the years and the yellow looks good without being ricey. Update to the newer style projector headlights and get an m5 front bumper and call it a day.
iwashmycar
I had yellow in my old Mustangs fogs and I loved how great they worked in inclement weather, snow especially. If you usually do the whole parking / fogs combo all the time, the white may be better suited yellow seems more european too
6 Speed S4
yellow would look good, or 5000k
Tripleskate
Yellow fogs, I have em. Looks good with a black car. Besides as previously mentioned HID fogs are the shit for pothole/shitty road spotting.
