Every year in December the same group of guys would show up and play in the "Christmas Bowl". Full contact all out in the snow. up until about 3 years ago when we were all between the ages of 20 -25. There were back to back years with broken bones (2 noses, an arm and a set of cracked ribs) We stopped playing after those 2 years. Just too much to risk for most guys.
