james95gt Posted December 1, 2010 Report Share Posted December 1, 2010 I have a 03 ford explorer 4.0 v6 awd i got into it after work and nothing but cranking over, i got good fuel pressure and spark. now could it be the cps. any help would be greatly appreciated... Guest Hal Posted December 1, 2010 Report Share Posted December 1, 2010 What kind of noise are you hearing while th engine is cranking? Do you have any other symptoms? Richard Cranium Posted December 1, 2010 Report Share Posted December 1, 2010 Sounds like you've checked the basics, fuel, fire, air. Not something stupid like a cruddy, plugged up air filter is it? Also could check at the injector with a noid light to make sure the injectors are firing. If not one of those then timing is really the only other thing I know to look for. james95gt Posted December 1, 2010 Author Report Share Posted December 1, 2010 how hard/expensive was it to replace? it was 12.99 at advance autoparts, two 8mm bolts hold it on.it was really easy to replace you have to get it from under the car. it looked brand new but it was bad...
