Selling the fish that came with our new setup.

 

Large lionfish, about 8-10" long, it changes color. $50

Large squirrelfish, about 4-5" long, doesn't change color. $30

Large Snowflake eel, about 18" long, doesn't change color either and always looks pissed. $40

They will not eat the coral, but a lot of the inverts that go along with the reef setup. Is the lion eating frozen foods?

 

Interesting. We where told at Aquarium adventure they would destroy the coral if we put any in there with them. The setup also came with a puffer and they said we could keep him and get leather coral only and he would have no use for those and leave them alone but these would not. We also read similar things online.

 

They are all eating frozen food.

This.

 

The squirrelfish and eel are both crustacean eaters.

Reef tanks thrive in captivity usually based on making sure you have the appropriate number of snails and other misc crustaceans in there to maintain the balance in your aquarium. Without them you risk the growth of cyano bacteria and hair algae. Both are known to "choke" corals.

 

Plus if they like the taste of a coral they just might take a bite out of it.
