Well engine is in! I was a little worried, the more I would read about people installing Lsx into x-bodys people had tons of problems with the mounts and oil pan clearance. I am very happy I spent the money on the autokraft sheetmetal pan. The clearance from crossmember to floor is great and there is plenty of space between pan and crossmember. And the ebay 1" setback plates worked great as well. Its time to start on the hotside

I don't even need a ride. Maybe just a senior pic type deal. I'll frost the tips of my hair, shave the beard off, wear an unbuttoned shirt with a tee under it, and find a visor somewhere even. No homo.

....ok, maybe not, but sick ride none the less. I'd love to see it when it's finished.

u dont wana ride cause your scared of fast cars. go ahead admit it. ill ride in any car thats cool and fast expecially with a turbo. or a shit ton of spray.

Me? I'm not scared. I'm just saying I'd be happy just to stand next to the car and act like it's mine. I'll ride in anything that moves.

Also as you can tell I ditched the polished fabbed covers for the GMPP ones, glad I did these are cast and proly wont leak.

Do they allow for 1.8 roller rockers? These ebay specials that I have are causing four other problems, they gotta go. Build is coming along very nicely man.

hey thanks, I am not sure about the clearance as I am using stock rockers, they are taller then factory but considerably shorter then the polished ebay ones I had. I knew before I even had oil in the motor that those ebay ones would be the one place this motor would leak.

Only one of the my flanges are straight. It was minimum and I think I got a good seal when I tightened them down. However the cover height caused an issue with the alternator, plug wires, heater motor box etc...not worth it. Of course I wouldnt have to have those if I had stock rockers....

In a turbo app it don't matter if their standing straight up it comes down to where u need it to spool and the size of the turbo exh housing. This is why rear mount turbos work all that piping going to the back of the car slows the spool time but they adj with smaller housings that spool faster. So in a app like this. U need a larger exh housing cause the turbo is closer w more velocity and temp. Very basic exp.

Progress Update....

Its been a while due to work overload this summer and some motivational issues with the heat but its picking up steam again! Got all the front end sheet metal back on the car, Figured out the accessory drive and belt setup, car is now in the process of getting the turbo stuff all built. I wanted to make sure I am not limited to the 76mm with the build so there has been a great deal of planning going on. I am mocking up a pt4788 so when I build my next motor over the next year I can shoot for 1000whp+

More of a final product of the intercooler mounting and started getting ideas for mounting the turbo. The turbo mounted currently is the pt4788 that will be used next year once the built 6.0l is done. So everything is being fitted with that turbo in mind but with the 5.3 the mp 76 q trim will be used. in the next 1-2 weeks the hotside will be done and progress will be picked up. Its starting to come together
