I had AT&T for 2 weeks with the 3GS and loved the phone and got to Johnstown and lost service for an entire weekend. I went back to Verizon and have ordered the iPhone4 and can't wait to get it. I don't care what phone I have, how expensive they may be compared to other carriers, for 10+ years, I've traveled from here to Cali with no more than a blip in service, reception or teathering. THAT is why I'm staying with Verizon. Is Sprint comparable to that? I have no idea but AT&T was NOT even close when it came to reception. TMobile? No clue.... but Verizon is tried and true in my eyes, no matter what phone I'm using.

I wish people were more business minded so I wouldn't have to explain stuff all the time.

What this does is it forces those people that use their phone to constantly stream info for business, porn, etc to look for other avenues and free up the network.

Or Verizon could, god forbid, upgrade their network more. For having the most customers, they "should" be the cheapest, yet that's just the opposite.

Its true in a lot of cases. Sprint has been putting in work lately.

Please explain why my Sprint Blackberry (and my co-workers with their Sprint work phones) all drop calls on the regular. Or sketchy signal if fucking Franklin county. Or voice mails that show up days later. Don't worry, we have suffered with it for years so we are used to Sprint's exceptional service.

Why would anyone want a plan other than a Sprint Everything plan....?

Because Sprint is shit. I've dealt with them for about 8 years now. They are better than they were then, but so is every other cell provider.

Try using Verizon down in Wayne National Forest. I go there several times a year to quad (where having a cell phone can be pretty important). Verizon = you can't even send a text. AT&T = full 3G service. It goes both ways.

VZW upgrades the network more than any other carrier to my knowledge. IIRC last year was the first year that ATT spent more money on the network than VZW. The point though is that no matter how good a system is, there will be people taking advantage of it.

If I just combine these, then you answer your own question.

This is the way of things. No provider is perfect everywhere. I used to have ATT (Cingular at the time) and it wasn't bad but my GF's VZW cell got better reception out at national trails so I switched. I have been all over the country and very rarely have troubles and that's why I stay with VZW. Some carrier is usually better in a certain spot but in most metro areas they are usually all decent at least.

I figured I would go ahead and step in since Brian gets butt hurt when someone breaks down his posts!

I ONLY use Sprint in Franklin County (I guess south parts for Delware county too)...they can't get reliable coverage HERE??!! I'm not talking all over the country, I am talking in fucking Columbus. There used to be full dead spots in the middle of the city - at least now it is just low signal and dropped calls. Sprint blows.

Switch to VZW then! Haha, but seriously though I get dropped calls on 270 near sawmill every once in awhile but I think it's my phone as it's getting a bit long in the tooth. I use to drop calls like clockwork near 605 and morse rd though but I rarely drive that way now.

It must just be you because I don't hear anyone else pitching a bitch about Sprint, especially all the extremely happy Evo owners, such as my myself. I can't imagine what it would take to get me to switch to any other phone or any other carrier.

4g is an upgrade. Did you know that you have to have clearance to expand your network? You are only allowed to amplify your signal so much, and you are only allowed to build where you have been given clearance. You should read up on the FCC and wireless communications before posting.

What really baffles me is you said they should lower plans just because they are big. Reread that first line in my post about being business minded. If the top two companies charge basically the same amount and are still 1 and 2 what reasoning is there to lower your profitability? When you add more people than smaller companies why should you proactively take money out of your own pocket?

Sprint has improved, a lot. A 20 second google search of "sprint improvements" will show you that. Sprint is a big company. When I said they improved in no way were my intentions to say they got better for Joe.

So of the entire United States you point out one place where your ATT phone works better than Verizon. Um.. its cell phone service. At least Di said from here to California. There are places where Verizon is not allowed to build towers.. same with ATT. I could show you a place where Boost mobile phones works and no other company does... but I wont because its a waste of time. Each company hase their own set of plus and deltas that can change with every 10 miles you drive. Its the nature of the beast.

~I have seperated quotes for the first time evarrrrr! It looks messy but Tim will be proud :D
