I have a 2006 Dodge 3500 with 290k and Im going to put on 30k more towing across the country this year with no worries.

I get about 11mpg towing out west to Cali due to the headwind and about 14 on the way back. 10k enclosed trailer

My 80 454 Dually was getting 8 mpg whether it was loaded or not, Then again it was on 33's, and had 5.13's, and a TH400. It would pull a house off it's foundation but was screaming at 65 for mercy. Trailer, Car and tools weighed in around 9000lbs.

Lance is the first one to impress me.

1992 Ford F-250 Ext Cab Long Bed. 1 Ton Suspension. 7.5L 460, gets 13 MPG and 9-10 Towing. Pulled Anthonys Car to and from Norwalk. Pulls my car, pulls my boats, pulls 6500lbs in horses through the summer.
