Patterson
I considered doing the swap. But its bloody expensive. But worth it.

jeffro
something of concern: being such a heavy engine in a car that originally had a 1.5 or 1.6L, wont all that weight in the front bring weight off the rear tires giving it even less traction? RyM3rC
The rear looks unweighted, or the ride height is oddly high back there. I'd drive that. Looks pretty clean.

Patterson
People have been doing the swap since the early 90's. The chassis takes to the V8 very well.
wagner
People have been doing the swap since the early 90's. The chassis takes to the V8 very well. I looked into these and it really is not that bad at all. It does not add a ton of weight, and if the swap is done correctly it sets the motor back. DKilbourne
So, what does the weight end up being? It still has to be a blast to drive. Makes me think of a road worthy go-kart for some reason.

TTQ B4U
I've seen a couple Monster Miata's. One that I saw had Godzilla on the headrests. Pretty funny. Cobra Motor in it. Personally, I'd rather have a Saturn Sky with an LSx in it.

04silvrz
that's gotta f-up the weight distribution, i wonder how it effected handling. those cars are fun to throw around the twistys, but i can't imagine it still handling the same.
