AJ
Barry Grant Carburetors: 1985-2011 This just in from Barry Grant. We’re very disappointed to hear that a great company has hit hard times. We wish Barry and his crew the best, and if the automotive aftermarket has its druthers, we suspect BG will reemerge soon, some how and some way. Ironically, FordMuscle get’s this message just two days after finally landing an ad contract with BG (after about 10 years of trying.) From Barry Grant As of today, February 18, 2011 we are ceasing operations at our Dahlonega location and all subsidiary locations. Working with all of you has been the experience of a lifetime. I will value your support as friends, customers, vendors, and media contacts forever. The economic situation has put the company in the position of not being able to find working capital needed to continue operations and get a chapter 11 reorganization plan through the court. In addition to this, is that all of our equipment has been breaking down causing production delays and further hurting cash flow. Reluctantly now we must convert to chapter 7 liquidation after 26 years of business. The financial collapse has closed, or has caused severe restructuring of many companies in our industry. Many individuals have lost everything. We have even lost our home. This is the most humbling experience of my life, and I have no future plans at this point. Thank You for Your Many Years of Support. after the stuff i have read about their junk i understand why.
nurkvinny
Didn't they go under once before in the early or mid nineties?

TurboNova
read this on the bullet the other day....glad to read it. His shit was junk and well overpriced, in my younger car days I bought a mighty demon and paid 650.00 too much.
Nickey4271647545519
his magic? all of his stuff is junk. Barry Grant is actually really good at making holleys do work. I know your a youngin and like this new fangled fuel injection. But way back when he was the man to take your holley too. I'm not vouching for any of his products... just the man himself. Patterson
Coke is a bad thing. He already knows this. Anyone remember the fail boat Claw series Carbs? Changeable venturis for multiple CFM ratings in one carb. His pumps and regulators are bad ass, but when he decided to make his own carbs from the ground up he really got in over his head. -Alex-
He definitely should've just stuck with being a helping hand to Holley instead of trying to be a competitor in the market. Either way, I hate to hear about another automotive related company going under and really hate to hear about anybody losing their house. wagner
I had to help do the research on his company for this. They have to much debt but I am willing to bet someone buys his equipment.
koolrayz
B.G. is a perfect example of how the free market system works. Bad product, quality control and customer service= bankrupt

Casper
B.G. is a perfect example of how the free market system works. Bad product, quality control and customer service= bankrupt Unless they're "too big to fail", in which case the federal government buys them out, clears their debts, the releases it to the public.
