pontiacfreak142
Looking for a good website for gen 1 350 swaps. Also, anyone know if LT1 f-body headers would work on gen 1's?
Patterson
Patterns are all the same. It's a direct bolt in. LT1 motor mounts will work as well.

Patterson
The only real difference on the exhausr side oif the head is the ports are D shaped on an LT1 IIRC, but a Gen 1 head will do just fine. Get Gaskets to match the header, port the head to that. Raising the roof on the port will do wonders for the exhaust side on a SBC.
pontiacfreak142
You need my t56 you know you do! Honestly i would love to have manual car, but this will see mostly bracket racing, so im sticking with an auto for it. Not to mention i already have a built turbo 400 sitting in the garage that i paid a measly $45 dollars for lol.

I asked this question mostly because of friend of mine had pulled up a set of long tubes on jegs site a couple months ago that said there were meant for 4th gen f-bodies with a gen 1 350 swap. Problem is, i asked the guy at jegs today to see if they had any others for that purpose, and the guy told me he couldnt even find the ones i was talking about... So i figured it might be easier to just try some LT1 headers lol.
nurkvinny
If you run sbc headers on an LT1, you just have to make sure the primaries are large enough to "cover" the entire D-shaped exhaust port. I don't think 1 5/8 will work, but I'm not 100% sure.
