Yasser-Hanbali
I'm wondering who all on CR has these dogs, my girlfriend just surprised me with this little puppy on Saturday. I had one when I was growing up. I know they are great dogs, and after having to put mine down in 08 i really wanted another one. So post up some pics and details about your loyal friend mine: Girl; name is LUXE, shes about 8 weeks old and pretty much a pain right now lol, but once shes grown and trained I know she will be a good dog. http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww239/v8killa7/_DSC0539.jpg?t=1299517641 http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww239/v8killa7/_DSC0538.jpg?t=1299517641 http://i723.photobucket.com/albums/ww239/v8killa7/_DSC0537.jpg?t=1299517641

I have to train her to be a good house dog but be protective while not vicious at the same time, which is easy with these dogs. and sad to hear you had to put yours down. my last dog Luckee had to be put down when his lungs gave out and had mass internal bleeding. it was the hardest thing my dad and i had to do, after having him for 8 years he was the best dog we had. We found out one day at training when we were not looking and she knocked the bag over and ate both burgers in seconds. It was hilarious Hardest day of my life though. We had her creamated and she is in Moms living room in a nice box with her badge attached to it.

I have an 8yr old shep and he is the NICEST, best behaved animal I have ever owned. A total sweetheart but will be protective when needed. Gets along with every dog he has ever met and loves kids. He is AWESOME. Also, beagles are actually very intelligent...they are just one of the most stubborn, bullheaded breeds out there. -Marc

Yasser-Hanbali
Then yean...I'd bet that beagle runs your dude. -Marc pretty much lol. the dog is a hyper nut case and lacks good training. its sad he could be a good dog, but without training its what it is. Mark1647545493
We miss our little buddy. We had to have him put down on Oct. 1st, 2010. He was a medical train wreck at 9 years old. Had horrible multiple hip problems. I still can't think about him and not get choked up a little.... Good luck with yours..... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=4884 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=4882 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=4885 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=4883 Best buddies..... http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=4890 http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=611&pictureid=4891

nurkvinny
I grew up with a couple, but one main one... Max. I only remember him through pics at this point really. I'd say from when I was 4 thru 15. From what my folks told me, best dog either of them have ever known.

XChris1632X
I was thinking about heading out to pick one up tom for my wife. She has really been wanting one for awhile. I will have one in the near future for sure. Anyone know any good local breeders off hand?

You shouldn't have to train a dog to be protective. Had you wanted a protective dog, you should have bought a protective breed.
