1997 Taurus SHO Cam Welding

My customer who bought the car wants to know of someone/somewhere to take the car to have this done. I told him I'd put the word out on the local racing board b/c I figured someone here would want the business. He said he'd like to send it to someone local who has experience with this sort of thing.

Any recommendations/takers?

still doesn't explain why FMC decided to not make this cam issue a warranty fix

Nobody cares about issues that occur 99% of the time far outside of the manufacterer's warranty. Cars today are built for the first owner to enjoy for 50k and then discard.

agreed. Avg time is 4 years last time I heard.

On Ave the cams don't become an issue until 60k+. Some have 120+ with unwelded cams, some pop at less than 50k though. Its a toss up.

I would search on shoforum. Shouldn't take but 5 minutes. Then get it done asap.

They are decent cars when that is fixed.
