hpfiend
Can a Ford 8" (not a typo for 9" or 8.8") take 6-800 whp in an automatic equipped rwd car on slicks around 2800 lbs? Thanks, Andrew
BIGGU
I dont think so not with slicks.
Patterson
Most I have seen w/wo slicks is 350. Strength wise it would be about the same as a 7.5 GM.
Avenger1647545502
Can it take it? Sure, it'll get off the line...the rest of the 1319 feet are problematic.

CRAWDAD
I don't know much about a Ford 8". I do know a lil about 8.8's. Stock they are junk. Properly built can easly hold 1000rwhp. to answer your orig. question. I would have to say, stock-no way. Properly built yes. but I don't know if you can build the 8" like you can the 8.8" Im talking about welding on big 9"axle ends, 35 spline 9"axles, spool and welding the axle tubes. Cordell
no, just no. This, the old 8" is worthless, build an 8.8 or 9" which ever is easiest to install.
