1992 Chevy Lumina Euro 3.4

First let me say this is my grandmas car. it stopped running a year or 2 ago and she bought something else.. her husband has worked on it but cant get it to start. (apparently he did get it to star a couple times but not for long.. once he tried to drive it and it had virtually no power)

 

She is wanting $1000.00 for it

 

figured someone might be interested in it.

 

As far as i can tell these are pretty rare..

 

it is the Euro 3.4 motor (lots were made with the 3.1 motors)

bose stereo system

auto seats mirrors

its fully loaded!

 

 

 

Many new parts.. but cant get it to start.

coil packs

fuel pressure regulator

ecu

i forget what else he said

Interior is pretty clean.. but really needs some cleaning up cob webs and such

 

the exterior has seen the weather as you can see in pics

My 3rd car as I got out of High school was a 91 Lumina Euro.. had the 3.1, but it was fine for me. Wife and I (G/f).. had a LOT of sex in the back of that car at the time :).

 

Yeah that is pretty rare to have a 3.4 DOHC in a Lumina. not too many out there.. especially the 90-94 models. I'd pick it up but I can't STAND working on 3.4 DOHC motors. I'd almost pick it up just to do a swap in it but don't have the time.

I had a white 1992 Lumina Z34 5 speed for a 3 years before I bought my Camaro SS.

 

They were cool cars but had a few issues.

 

One of the main issues with those cars is that water can get down in the spark plug holes and it won't start. I'd pull all the plugs crank it over a few times (with no fuel) and install new plugs and wires.

 

Another main issue is the timing belt, mainly the plastic pullies, they wobble and then the belt flies off.

 

I still have my GM service manuals as keepsakes.. lol
