PGH STEELERS Posted June 6, 2011 Report Share Posted June 6, 2011 Isn't wheel hop usually fixed by installing stiffer bushings? Yes but not the cure. I just replaced my half shafts and according to G-Force, the street tires, nitto's & Mickey Thompsons (on 17's) will give you wheel hop. Now if you go with race rims (like 15") drag slicks, you should not have any problems. Chris from G-Force stated that the softer the tire the better results you will have. I still kind of argue that, but what do I know. All in all the wheel hop won't go away. I have the Harrop cover, Peddars suspension and air bags and still get wheel hop. Now when I put in about 25-30 lbs of air in the drag bags most (90%) of the hop goes away, however doesn't give me a good launch. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
