I would rather use that money and get my bottom end built. http://www.vossenwheels.com/gallery/FileUpload/List/LI201168133947.jpg

I see the point in buying vossen if you need a decent wheel in a 22... but other than that, im not buying it. That being said, i might have to resort to vossen for my car (i'd buy 20+), hahhahaha. But your's you do not. Heres the thing about wheels. Its a question of why you are buying them... If your goal is to have people who dont know cars say "those make that car look nice"... then you missed, becuase you are trying to get away cheap... If your goal is have car people say "that looks good, and he did it the right way"... then you are correct sir. Aside from real race cars, people put bigger wheels on their car for aesthetic improvement.... admit it. Finally, why would you say "i want to do mycar the right way and put 4k into m ybottom end... but then buy cheap wheels? why not do the whole car right? for cheap wheels....that are decent... buy these: http://www.wheelsbymbmotoring.com/gallery.php?category=passenger and get the sunken version of the battle. http://ivyleagueeast.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/4375276318_40b3c2e6f9_b.jpg

Vossen makes some sick concaved wheels and if i was going aftermarket it would be concaved. I am not a big fan of dished wheels. The only time i would ever lookin into doing expensive wheels would be on an expensive car or if it was for show/race. I cannot run anything under 18inches as the wheels will not fit over my brakes. Its the market man, you have people who want the expensive real wheels and the people who want cheaper wheels that look the same. Why not play both markets? It sounds like a win-win business plan to me.

I would state that your statement should only apply to those who want to racc/drive o na track and experience maximized performance. Me personally, i drive 3 miles per day to and from work... But you are right, both are better...

Sadly, it is happening more and more...
Diamonds
It's the difference between poseur and enthusiast.... Really? am i a poser if i drove heavy 22 inch 3 piece wheels wheels on a 5000 pound bohemoth to and from work?

If you are putting them on your car for no other reason that to have "22 inch 3 piece wheels". Per your notes, it is a comfortable cruiser. The wheels will only: *Make the car slower. *Make it handle worse. *Make the ride rougher. I make no distinction between this and a handful of expensive APC hood scoops. :dumb:

Sadly, it is happening more and more... Most people dont have 4k to spend on rims/tires, so as the economy sinks companies are going to do whatever it takes to stay afloat. You also have to look at the market in which vossen is in. unlike work and other companies like it, vossen is not a wheel that people use to race with. So why not appeal to both sides, work, bbs, ccw, ssr are all wheels that are used in several types of racing. therefore people are going to buy them due to their strong nature and build quality. Also race teams have the money to buy these wheels, therefore making it easier to stay in business.

IN FACT, why not just start shaving pounds on the audi, remove the whole interior, cut away some interior metal, remove the airbags, spare tire, and a whole host of other things.... IT WILL BE FASTER, RIGHT? Point proven? your welcome.
