Some bigs and littles made its way on today. Now the should actually be able to put the power to the ground, the rest is up to the owner....

11.405 @ 129.23 with a 1.864 60' (I suck!). Got told to slow down regardless of my suckage so that was that. First two runs were 12.03 and then 11.65 so I was getting better....

Need that RPM roll cage and a line lock. I ordered a shift light but it did not come in time and I am not coordinated enough to pilot the car and look down to watch the tach at the same time so I was shifting by ear.

May need to do a little chassis tuning too. Spun through first easily but then also felt like it wanted to come unloaded in second. Anthony said I wasn't in the 'good lane' :)

Was awesome fun though. I expected the car to feel squirrelly up top due to the skinnies and aired down DRs, etc. She was steady as a rock.

With power you have available and even with suspension help those drag radials will not like the shock of a standard trans. If you feel like getting more involved in drag racing with it a pair of slicks would help you better. The 1st 60 feet are the most important to shaving time off the clocks. Also the most higher hp cars that run the drag radials usually all have a two speed auto.

Nice times and I bet it was fun

Thanks! The goal is to be able to post a 10 second time at some point (not willing to go through the work/surgery it would take to get to 9s).

A set of slicks and some more practice days should get me there without further ado although I'd like to see how close I can get with the DRs. I'd like to be able to say I truly have a 10 sec street car (realize that in practical terms those bragging rights probably don't mean much).

With that power, 10's on drag radials is just a matter of some seat time.
