zeitgeist57
The 300 my F100 has runs fine, and still gets up to 75mph no problem on the highway. However, there is serious blow-by. I don't want to spend $1000 to rebuild an engine when good or great rebuilt sixes are out there. Truck was a carbureated 1982, 2WD, stick shift. Would be interested in engine/stick shift combos. Also interested in rusted-to-shit F100 or F150s for a donor engine. Thanks!
truckin
Give this guy a call, I just bought some parts off him this morning and he's got a 300 I6 out of a 93 F150 FS. He's just off 71 and northbroadway. 517-5538
zeitgeist57
Thanks, J... Can a newer, fuel-injected 300 block be used in an older, carb'ed 300 application? Did the block go through major modifications over the years? I'm really trying to keep the swap simple...no new wiring harnesses or fuel systems for fuel injection... 99FLHRCI
The carb on that truck is fairly new. Provided there are no major changes I would think you could swap intakes and call it a day. I am by far no expert though so Research it. Just an idea of how to keep it simple.
