Bike ride tonight

Won't interest the majority of you, I know, so feel free to save the "who cares" effort you're dying to put in.

 

Anyway, Pelotonia got me more into biking it seems. When I signed up in Feb. I did it more as a personal challenge. Never thought I'd ride 23 miles straight. Once I did, and with ease, I realized I've been selling myself short.

 

Came home from work tonight and without planning or thinking about it I decided to go for a ride. Ended up getting in just 15.98 miles before the sunset cut my ride short. Here's a few pics I jsut grabbed with my BlackBerry while I was out.

 

Took this one on my road on the way back. The rest are on the way out.

What kind of speed do you average? if its quick enough, come ride w/ us sometime

About 12-15 depending on the terrain. I averaged approx 12.8 tonight. A few hills kicked my butt. Never gone this route before and if I'm being honest with myself and everyone else I'm still very much an amateur. Pelotonia was my first group ride. Broke in that experience with 5,000 other people. LOL.

 

I'd love to ride with others but with my experience and a hybrid I'm not sure I could keep up and I def don't want to hold anyone back.
