I'm getting code 9 on the civic and the timing is lined up buy the marks but I think where the head and block where decked, the crank TDC might be off?. Just need to use it and can do it right in front of you and give it back same day. lmk

Dial indicator from harbor freight. They're like 6$ and surprisingly accurate enough. How much total was removed from the head and deck surface?

I have the sheet somewhere then I moved and can't find it:(. I've done the pencil but I'm just thinking a tdc tool would help me determine the difference. The motor is a mutt lol. Ls bottomend and b16 head so yeah lol:dumb:

Pencil should do the same thing. The marks are going to be way off between decking and mixing components. In tech school we had the right tools but it took to long. Just grabbed the longest 1/4" extension and put your finger on it and as soon as it dropped back it up a lil bit.
