01sentrase2.0
Buddy of mines 01 a4 is having a tie rod issue. He took it to a shop and they said new tie rod so he had one put it, shop drove it and it killed the new one. Thoughts? Tia Luke
macpyro2
Is it lowered? They have always had tie rod problems, I replaced mine a few times until I upgraded to a stronger set. Ill try to look for what I used.

Crossle
Did they put it on right? Who made the part they installed? Define "killed", like loose, or fell apart?
Rotarded1647545491
Define "killed", like loose, or fell apart? To OP: The information provided is so incredibly vague that an answer/diagnosis to your post is virtually impossible to derive. Other questions that need answered with great detail. Please leave out words such as "broke(n)" unless they are followed by a description that would give a mental picture of the specific part that has failed, where it failed, and how many pieces it failed into. What was the car doing ("issue") that made the owner think it needed tie rod ends? Who replaced the tie rod end, and what other parts were replaced as well? Was the car in an accident? Was the car aligned afterwards? Is there a Wake and/or Funeral scheduled for the tie rod end that was killed??
