Made a few upgrades to our 5.0

Last week we made a few upgrades to our 2011 5.0. The plan is to run the car in the Texas Mile in October. Not really sure what to expect out of the car as this is our first attempt at something like this. Last spring a few na 5.0's were able to run in the low 160's with the best being in the 163mph range. We are hoping for 175 plus out of the car assuming I dont chicken out and lift half way through the run ....:) There has been a lot of little prep done to hopefully keep the car in one piece for the runs that I wont really get into but for power we swapped on an 82mm supercharger pulley and will be running Torco 118 race fuel. I have a 76mm pulley for the car as well but I am pretty much at my comfort level power wise for what I want to put through the stock bottom end. I think Ill shelf the 76mm pulley until I decide to build the block. For now I am really pleased with power output. A roll on in 3rd on the freeway will spin the tires and kick the rearend out a bit which is good in my book!

I also did a 93 octane/torco accelerator tune for everyday driving on the 82mm pulley.

And of course there has to be a youtube video of the dyno pull http://youtu.be/XvGAAb5uirY?hd=1
