426 Challenger Build

Well last time I was at a CR event was Dragway 42 last fall with my red 392 Charger. Well January we put the charger back to stock and I sold it and bought a 2009 Challenger.

Had a 426 built on the new Mopar Aluminum Block, Wiseco pistons,K-1 Crank.....4.185 Bore...3.875 stroke....put on a set of ported and polished 2011 392 heads and a lot of lot of tuning and ups and downs and issues along the way the car made 538/485 to the wheels and got a 10.96 @ 120

Still having a few issues one being the Torque converter is flashing so high the computer will not let it lock ...It flashes at 5500 rpm. Looking at the data logs shows the slipping lets the rpms run up and the car is shifting at low mph in all gears

Nice looking car, god to see a mopar out there flexing some muscle

Thanks

I'll take that motor off your hands when your done! Nice work.

Are they ever done

LOVE the car, but what's it spraying all over the track in that launch pic?

I had a bag of ice in a towel on the intake and didn't realize some some water leaked down in the belly pan

Looks great!

Getting that car to hook very well!

The picture is from Norwalk and Norwalk hooks good alot but the timeslip was from 42 the following weekend and I made sure I was there early and the first one on the track and it was the only run of the day that hooked up.....I got lucky

we were behind you in the white 5.0 rx7 at dw42 last year.. new car is looking great...have ips polish that tb off for you and finish up the engine bay... sexy as hell

Thanks, the TB is cast...don't know if it will polish very well

Great looking and running car. I like it.

Thanks

Al, your Challenger is beautiful.

Great presentation all the way around.

Do you have a roll bar in it yet ?

Chuck

Not Yet

Looks VERY nice!

Any weight reduction?

Get your MPH sorted and slap a 200-shot on it... ;)

Nope just I just take the spare and jack out

Gorgeous! :burn:

Thanks

I like it a lot. How much of diet is it on, or will it be on?

If you mean weight reduction none really if you mean fuel VP 109 unleaded

I'm pretty sure it's pissing excellence or win.

Nah melted ice from the intake dripped down in the belly pan

Awesome!

Thank you
