Forrest Gump 9
My brother has an '64 Impala. It has a v8 in there but he want more power. Just wondering how hard is it to swap an LSx in there? Are the engine mounts the same? Thank in advance.
Cordell
There are quite a few differences, including engine mounts, but adapter plates are simple and plentiful. LS1tech has a conversions and hybids section you may want to check out. Overall with a few of the right parts it is pretty easy to do and there are lots of write-ups out there. AC66Bronco
I have a question on this subject sorta. Can anyone think of a car an LSx has NOT been swaped into?

This, and I think Texas Speed just started a section on their site that sells stuff for this.

AJ
Have yet to see one in an HHR, you can be the first. been done already. the swaps are easy, you can get most of the part at jegs. it would make things way easier on you if you swap the transmission and engine that way you have a auto 4 speed or 6 speed and less mods to do to the pcm and wiring. Well fine then, stick an LSx in a Prius or Yaris or Honda Fit or something like that.

TurboNova
I think it would be harder to make a list of cars you cant swap an lsx into
