Huge boom in Delaware, OH

I heard/felt it. I thought someone dropped something big and heavy on the roof at work, the whole building shook. Everyone around me felt it too. We are right across 42 from the airport, and we have had a plane crash into one of the trees in front of our building, so I'm always aware that a plane might fly into us.

Do you work for AHP?

Probably at National Lime and Stone, that's the big quarry on section line. I've been near by when they blast and it's unreal especially considering how damn big it is.

Shakes the whole Emerson building on Pittsburgh when those guys blast. First time they let one off after I started working there, I thought a 1000kVA UPS let the magic smoke out down on the floor.

Sounded like a tree fell on our room. Walked outside and didn't see any signs of anything except a couple other people on their porches looking around as well.

Felt it too in the shop. We thought someone rammed into a wall or something.

All apt descriptions. It was like an big truck hit the house. That's how everyone pretty much felt on our block.

I cannot rule out the mine, currently. However, the last real big shock wave that come thru like that was not from the mine. Again, it could've been the mine this time as I don't have the info I did last time. Still, I find it hard to believe they are using charges that big so close to residential.
