I've never used Bondo, nor lead, but I'm willing to learn the best way to fill some holes no bigger than 3/8". Any advice would be appreciated. This is a $1k basic truck that will end up being my "custom car" canvas and long-term DD/parts hauler in my suburban life; not a high-$$$ or show-car job needed. Cheap is preferable. Thanks! Patterson Posted December 18, 2011 Report Share Posted December 18, 2011 Lead as I understand it is superior for filling seams and holes on Bodywork. But it is nearly a lost art. Bondo and fiberglass filler will be an easier, and far more cost effective solution. If you buy quality supplies it'll last for more than two or three years.
